Rubino Estates Winery
Rubino Estates Winery, 1188 Vineyard Ave, Pleasanton, CA 94566
Note: If you want a spacious indoor tasting room with high ceilings to escape a hot Livermore day, this is a great choice.
Have come in a couple times over a couple years now and after recently coming in, wondered why I don't come in more. It has a cool American Italian vibe with the decor ((helped with the giant Italian flag) and wines.
The wines are pretty bold and they have a solid variety. There are some varietals there which I am surprised to grow well in the Livermore area. I enjoyed several of them but given it was a warm day went with a nice white (I forget which one now but I took a couple bottles home because the price point was solid. The price point on all were reasonable for the quality, I mean a good red for under $20, sign me up.
The people are very nice. Super attentive so they will pour quickly, so I suggest grabbing a bottle of your fave, some cheeses, and meats from their little deli counter and grabbing a spot at a table. There is a member tasting area as well with high tables. There is also an outside area with tables, but often too hot in summer.
I have not been to their event area but I understand it is great for weddings. The outside grounds is very appealing and welcoming as well. They do have a bocce ball area outside but the sun was glaring down when I was there so it wasn't a good idea.
Overall, a great stop in if you are in the area and tasting. Then go to their sister winery Ruby Hill to finish off.
